For those who are still uncertain about where to start for an office job in Australia, I recommend enrolling in a class with JRM. Personally, I had no background in accounting or office work either in Vietnam or Australia, yet I still confidently applied for jobs.

I considered taking up accounting because I noticed that many JRM students secured jobs (a friend of mine also recommended it as they studied and got a job two years ago), so I decided to give it a try.

Since I genuinely didn’t know anything about accounting, Mr. Văn advised me to first take the cert IV at Tafe. I studied for cert IV for 6 months, and in the fourth month, I decided to enroll in JRM, hoping to land a job right after finishing cert IV :))). With Mr. Văn's dedication, always "ready to help", sometimes at 9 pm or even 8:30 am on a Sunday, whenever I informed him about an upcoming interview, he would call back immediately to prepare. In fact, I joined the course over a year ago while staying home during the lockdown. Afterward, due to busy personal and academic schedules, I couldn't apply for jobs right after completing the Job Ready Master course. I graduated in 07/2020. I had never worked in any accounting position before. By 06/2022, I got to know Job Ready Master with the mindset of, "Let's try and see how it goes, and if it's not good, then drop it," because I already had a decent job at a warehouse. I studied attentively, but I tend to forget quickly after lessons. I didn't remember much after finishing the course, and combined with my "not urgent" mindset, I didn't devote much time to proper studying or doing additional exercises. When I started job hunting, a few places called me for interviews, but since I... didn't study thoroughly, failing was obviously expected. I applied for about 10 jobs on Seek and was interviewed at two places. Both were unsuccessful. Mr. Văn spent time reviewing jobs and preparing questions for me. I sincerely apologize and thank him. Then I took a break for about 1-2 weeks. Feeling bored one day, I went back on Seek to look for jobs. I had a few phone interviews, and then silence. I was about to go on a one-week holiday, so I stopped applying. But during my holiday, I applied for another 10 or so jobs. A few days later, three places called and arranged face-to-face interviews right after I returned to Melbourne. After the interviews, two of them offered me the jobs I applied for. I was taken by surprise and extremely elated because I had heard a lot of "bad news," and suddenly, within two hours, two pieces of good news came in a rush, making me a bit bewildered 😂.

So, my advice is that you should definitely enroll in a Job Ready Master course. The instructors teach with great passion, and they offer even more enthusiastic support after the course. The course is very beneficial and practical. The knowledge is refined and focused. And more importantly, you'll feel more confident in finding a job in your desired field.

I'm very happy to share that I've just received a job in accounting, so I wanted to share this with you all.

Actually, I took the JRM course over a year ago, but due to personal reasons, I only started applying for jobs now. After applying to over a few dozen companies, I was called in for an interview. Honestly, I regret that 2-3 years ago I didn't know about JRM. Time to spill the beans on JRM for completely turning my life around :))

After two weeks at work, I finally have to write this review because JRM is just too awesome. I was the epitome of the "four no's": no diploma, no experience, no PR (Permanent Residency), and... no confidence :(( Before diving into the accounting world, I was just a girl working full-time at a bubble tea shop, completely clueless about numbers. Then one day, determined to change my life, I approached JRM. After 4 weeks under the guidance of Ms. Hà and Mr. Văn, I was ready to venture out and apply for jobs. But hold on, everyone. I severely lacked confidence. Before I even started my job application journey, I was afraid of many things. For instance, during an interview, what if they asked me something and I didn't know how to explain, or what if they said I didn't understand anything, or what if I made a mistake that impacted the company? I kept hesitating and didn't apply 😂😂. However, that’s the magic of JRM. Ms. Hà taught me about AC/AP, while Mr. Văn revamped my CV and cover letter. Every time I got an interview call, Mr. Văn would arrange mock interview sessions over the phone for me. Whether it was scorching sun, pouring rain, early morning, or late evening, he was always ready to review with me. A thousand thank-yous would never suffice. Honestly, this was my first professional job interview. Even when I practiced with Mr. Văn, my voice trembled as if I was about to cry, so I just considered my first interview as a learning experience for the next one. Indeed, I did fail the first one, but following Mr. Văn's advice, I prepared more diligently for the next one, and then, magic happened. After an interview in the morning, by noon they called with an offer, and by the afternoon, I signed the contract. This miracle, I attribute to the "Buddha" Văn and "Fairy" Hà. Within a short job-seeking period, I secured one. Even now, I still can't believe I’m genuinely working a 9-5 job with weekends off. After two weeks of working, I realized that everything I’m doing is exactly what I was taught 😂😂. I graduated in Accounting in 12/2017 but didn't work in the field. When I wanted to return, my knowledge was nearly zero.

There are only two things you can do in this situation: persistently continue to apply for jobs and prepare thoroughly for interviews.

Don't hesitate to apply for jobs because you lack confidence in your own experience, like I did initially. There will always be someone out there better than you, with more experience than you, and you can't change that overnight. The only thing you can do to outshine them is the way you present yourself in interviews, so prepare rigorously for upcoming interviews, cherishing each one. You might not have as much experience as others, but you must be the one who prepares for interviews more thoroughly than anyone else. I applied these principles, and they worked for me, and they might also work for some of you.

For those of you who are wondering whether to register for JRM or not, I believe it's a worthy investment as I received much more in return.

I came to JRM when the pandemic just started in 5/2020. Anh Văn was our trainer. He said that after 4 weeks of learning, we would grasp the important knowledge and skills to apply for a professional job. But no. After just 2 weeks of learning, we almost fully understood the required tasks and knowledge; the next 2 weeks were just for practicing to improve skills and revising our CVs. Quite a surprise 😅

After the course, I didn't have time to apply for jobs until recently, around July-August 2021 when I was ready to start job hunting. So, I took a risk and messaged Anh Văn. For those who don't know about JRM and are unsure if they should take the course, JRM is like a launchpad that helps you recognize your strengths and boosts your self-confidence.

I was among the earliest students of JRM, meaning I enrolled in the first batch when JRM just started. Naturally, I didn't get as many resources and knowledge as the later batches (like the job interview question set) because, as the tutors teach more batches, they gain more teaching experience and tips, giving students better chances during job applications.

Speaking of resources, how could we forget Ady? From the PTE set, to the CPA, and now the Job Interview set - incredibly awesome 🤣🤣🤣.

Speaking of Ady, it's impossible not to mention the main figure in this JRM course, our teacher and someone with extensive experience in accounting - Mr. Văn.

He's super enthusiastic and ready to share everything anytime you need. He's always busy, working as a boss from Monday to Friday and teaching on weekends. Outside of his regular job hours, he reviews CVs and provides consultation. Sometimes I wonder when he actually rests given such a packed schedule 🤣🤣🤣.

A little off-topic, but the point is, prepare many questions to ask him, he loves being questioned (jk) =))). Because asking gives you a lot of experience and doesn't cost you anything. My biggest regret is not asking more, because I'm quite passive and rarely have questions unless faced with a problem. I believe that if I had more questions, I would have performed much better in previous job interviews!

If someone asks if you're guaranteed a job after the JRM course, my obvious answer is no! The explanations and examples below follow the STAR method 😊:

JRM provides you with 50% of the foundation, meaning it enhances your industry knowledge and prepares you to be more confident in interviews and at work.

(Evidence: Any course only helps with technical skills, they can't be with you every day like parents. Rarely will you find teachers who care as much as JRM. They've done their best, so if you still don't have a job, read on below)

40% depends on your effort and commitment to change and develop.

(Evidence: Take me as a live example. I'm SUPER fun-loving and social, but during my job search, I declined all outings and mostly stayed home. Woke up at 9am for job applications, break at 3pm, and continued after 5pm. No money either, as I felt working part-time was counterproductive, fearing job changes after training. Embrace the hardships, it'll keep you motivated.)

The remaining 10% is down to luck (Seriously, no joke! Everyone has different luck, so I won't provide evidence for this.)

Hi everyone! I just graduated in December 2019. On March 29, 2020, I started the Job Ready Master course, trained by Mr. Văn, and just yesterday, on May 22, 2020, I received a job offer from a taxation company. After the first two weeks of the course, Mr. Văn supported me more than 100% in editing my CV and cover letter. After 5 weeks of studying, I am now very confident in AR and AP tasks on MYOB. I went through 3 rounds to get this job offer and in each one, Mr. Văn reviewed my knowledge and guided me on common interview questions. I came to Job Ready Master (JRM) during the peak of the recent Lockdown and Covid-19 situation, with a bit of hope and the remaining finances after my then employer had indefinitely stood me down.

I contacted Mr. Ady and received very enthusiastic consultation & support before registering for JRM, despite any intake being quickly filled with students registering.

During my time at JRM, I was guided by Ms. Hà (co-trainer with Mr. Văn) on accounting skills in MYOB meticulously, ensuring I never forgot the lessons and operations. Mr. Văn "chased" and reminded me every day, every hour, on how to support CV editing and submit quality Job Applications without them being skimmed through by recruiters/employers. He also encouraged everyone to submit applications from the first week of the course, regardless of whether you have experience or not.

I found this strategy very effective because after 4 weeks of theoretical study and preparing for interviews with Mr. Văn, the interview calls started to come in.
